Hello SxG members, regulars, forum whores, etc...

First off I would like to introduce myself. My name is Matt, I am twenty-one years old (Jan 30th), and I have been playing Counter Strike for 11 years (CS:S for about 9 months); since it was released by Sierra. I have background in many different programming languages including C#, HTML, PHP, C++, PEARL, PAWN (amxx), and I know a little bit of machine code and binary (and I am willing to help out with fixing any plugins that you may have that are broken by updates).

I ran a Counter Strike server for eight years (333Mhz processor) and only brought the server down because I no longer had a dedicated line to host it off of (as well as the fact that every one of valve's updates to Counter Strike lead to more lag and less slots I could run).

The reason I am applying to become a member of SxG is because I am looking for a stable friendly community on a server with good shot registration and little hitbox lag. While I realize that my computer is ultimately my downfall in registration, I know that almost every server I have visited has way worse reg than yours. The community is the most important part of the puzzle to me!

Not that this should sway my application at all, but I would like to inform you guys that I do plan on donating, as well as purchasing level 3 admin to watch over the server. I know that you all may worry about some of your new admins abusing the slay, kick, or ban functions, but I will lead off in saying that I have learned from my past experiences as an admin (and server owner) which has taught me to be less trigger happy on slays (for those outside past 1:30) and to take screen shots or demos of all my bans, evidence included.


I hope that my stay here is long lived and that the community will enjoy my presence, no matter how much I complain when I die =]

You think I am pretentious based on me posting my thoughts? Come on now. If I was trying to be pretentious then I would have come in here, paid for admin, brown-nosed up to all the high up admins, and become an admin myself, then proceeded to site my opinions on certain matters.


If I wanted to seem, "of importance", I wouldn't be sitting on the forums complaining about a large part of the community, I would be playing along with you nubs and trolling you till you cried.




On a side note, you must think I seem important, or else you would have never complained of pretentiousness in the first place.
